There
is strong epidemiological evidence, based on 15 prospective studies, 10
meta-analyses, and 5 systematic reviews involving more than 2.2 million
patients, that alcohol consumption is a contributing factor for the development
of breast cancer. The evidence regarding the effect of alcohol consumption on
breast cancer outcome needs to be gathered in order to draw firm conclusions regarding
alcohol consumption after breast cancer diagnosis. In this article, we aim to review
the current literature regarding recurrence and all-cause and BC cause
mortality and identify postulated. We would make suggestions for future
research.
