How these memories were remembered through the years, moving in parallel as an attempt to legitimate its history towards those years? This paper aims to problematize these questions for better comprehend how the newspaper made use of some memorial discourses – in its special anniversary editions, in productions and speci c analysis about the topic – to legitimate the construction of an own narrative towards the period, which seeked to ensure support for itself in a particular present.
