Abstract:

We propose a formalism of social interactions in which the choice behavior of an actor is controlled by parameters which define their ability to control the relation between stimuli and responses, realized by an imitation process in infinite populations. The control parameters are interpreted using a classification of various human types (personality profiles). The formalism is applied to describe the dynamics of two-person one-shot games. In particular, the theory predicts non-zero levels of cooperation in the one-shot Prisoner s Dilemma Game.
