Abstract:

Benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common urological disease of the old age. If the patient presentswith early prostatic symptoms without urinary obstruction, medical treatment should be advised. If there aresignificant obstructive prostatic symptoms, transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) is the answer providedthe patient is fit for anaesthesia. If the patient is unfit, prostatic stents can be advised.
