Review of wavelet transform in potential field

Wavelet transform has property of multiresolution analysis,it is widely used in potential field data analysis.This paper reviews the basic theory of wavelet transform and its applications in potential field.Wavelet transform can be used in regional-residual separation,denoise,inversion and geology interpretation etc.Selection of wavelet basis is discussed from aspect of mathematic and physics.
