The purpose of this study is to evaluate Better Life Index which is presented as an alternative
instrument to measure well-being in terms of Turkey. This index is created by the OECD and
calculated by considering housing, income, jobs, community, education, environment, civic
engagement, health, life satisfaction, safety, work-life balance. Results of the study show that Turkey
has the lowest Better Life Index value among OECD countries.
