Abstract: He word “learning” has the endless meanings. The learning occurs not only from knowledge but also as knowledge. Learning in this sense depends not only on our initiative. We cannot just resolve to learn. The whole reliable order can reach deadlock.. The old reliable knowledge and ability mismatchwhile we do not yet have any new possibility. Learning in this sense means a kind of “awakening”, in statu nascendi as the response to a challenge. Thus the condition of learning is sensitiveness to the other or to something, while it is possible via agreement that is not always disposed to us because of our peculiar attitudes. We always think more than we can express. Inevitably, we can do more than we anticipate. Only after the other takes this surplus the knowledge and the ability correspond to reality before they are realized. In learning we are met by another, to which we answer as to something.. This Something is always outstripping the meanings and aspirations. That is why this learning in true sense begins not in us. The destiny of every experience concerning us depends on this, while we cannot anticipate it exactly. Thus, the sense of in statu nascendi corresponds to the saying modo praeterito. Abstract: Today, it is believed that it is difficult to learn a programming language because it requires a completely different way of thinking from what students are accustomed to and need a lot of work and time to start thinking in this way. Each method for learning a programming language aims to improve the quality of learning, which is confirmed by a large number of successful students. This paper presents the influence of factors such as motivation, emotion and pre-knowledge of students on the choice of method, which is maximally adapted to the age, abilities and preferences of students. Adequate selection of the method is done by using the tests for checking the given factors to the students’ data, which are later used to select the most favorable method for learning a programming language

Abstract: Human health has been jeopardized?due to a lack of understanding about proper hand washing techniques. Because of their underdeveloped immune systems, preschool children are more vulnerable to infectious infections. Hand hygiene inhibits the spread of infectious illnesses. The purpose of this study was to develop a better understanding of pre-school children’s hand hygiene knowledge and behavior on the current situation of COVID-19. A total of 232 children aged 5 and 6 years old from 10 pre-schools in the Sepang region of Selangor, Malaysia, were chosen for this study. A questionnaire containing socio-demographic information, knowledge, and hand hygiene behavior was distributed. A completed hand hygiene education programme, including a video on correct hand washing technique, was presented to the test group. The results were statistically examined using descriptive analysis and an independent t-test. More than 90% of the participants displayed effective hand washing technique. Hand hygiene routine practice was much superior (p?< 0.05) in the test group. Indeed, further progress should be made through targeted health education initiatives emphasizing the importance of hand hygiene in health.

Open Journal of Stomatology (OJST) , 2024, DOI: 10.4236/ojst.2024.142009
Abstract: BACKGROUND: Permanent tooth avulsion is one of the severe forms of dental traumatic injuries. The immediate action taken at the site of the accident is crucial to the prognosis of the tooth. Replantation is considered as the treatment of choice. OBJECTIVE: The study was undertaken to assess the knowledge of parents who accompany their children to the pediatric dental clinic, KATH on the pre-hospital management of avulsed permanent tooth in children. METHODS: A researcher administered structured questionnaire was used to collect data on the knowledge of pre-hospital management of avulsed permanent tooth from 83 parents who accompanied their wards to the pediatric dental clinic at KATH. RESULTS: A total of 83 parents were involved in the study. 30 (36%) were males while 53 (64%) were females. The majority of the parents (57%) were either university trained or had attended college of education. Only 32 parents (39%) were aware of the possibility of replantation. Majority of the parents chose non-physiologic media as the transport media of choice and only 10% would attempt self-replantation before seeking professional help. 76 parents (92%) had no previous education on pre-hospital management of avulsed tooth. CONCLUSION: The results obtained from this study indicate that parental knowledge on pre-hospital management of avulsed permanent tooth is low hence the need for massive public educational campaigns.

Abstract: taking into consideration that even illiterate individuals make social uses of reading and writing, and that school has an important role in such uses, this study investigated the contribution that pre-school education has to literacy in terms of social practice for illiterate children. in a psychological perspective, literacy was examined based on the knowledge of texts and their media. children aged 7 and 8 with different levels of schooling (three years, two years, one year, and no pre-school education) were asked to identify different text media (task 1) and to discriminate texts of different genres (task 2). we observed that children had limited knowledge of texts and their media, and that the years of pre-school education did not promote the development of such knowledge.

Abstract:

The study aims to examine the state of mathematics and science education in pre-schools of Botswana. The study intended to find out the knowledge base of the teachers, the content and the process of activities that were carried out in pre-schools, and also gauged availability and usage of resources in pre-schools, while identifying the challenges faced and the strategies used to overcome by the teachers, in carrying out Maths and Science activities. The study adopted both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research was done using survey questionnaire and observation techniques and was conducted in 26 pre-schools in Gaborone. The sample comprised of 64 teachers and 17 administrators who were identified by using purposive sampling techniques. Quantitative data was also analysed using SPSS version 20, and responses to Open-ended questions were analysed qualitatively. The findings showed that the trained teachers although not in ECE, claimed to have some knowledge base of mathematics and science, and identified pedagogy to be more important than content, for teaching science and mathematics at ECE. They however, were of the view that ECE teacher training influences the knowledge base of the teachers, and hence specialised training in ECE is necessary. The study also showed that mathematics activities were predominant in the pre-schools as compared to science activities; the teachers frequently engaged in mathematics and science activities outdoors; and the mathematics and science corners that were available in most centres, were not utilised adequately. It further revealed that an equal number of the teachers, i.e. almost half of them, faced challenges while teaching mathematics and science in pre-schools, as those who did not. The study therefore recommended ECE teachers’ professional training on knowledge, pedagogy and content; and the menu to include more indoor and science activities.

Creative Education (CE) , 2020, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2020.1110138
Abstract: Lesson planning and presentation are regarded as an effective method that allows pre-service teachers to gain experience in the instructional processes and improve teaching skills. Lesson Portfolio and Presentations, not only is utilized as a method for increasing the quality of a teacher’s education, but also used to research the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework. The purpose was to investigate changes in pre-service teachers’ TPACK from their lesson portfolio and presentation practices conducted under the TPACK framework. The participants are 22 third-year pre-service teachers. An analysis was performed based on specific concepts from the projects, which had been developed to reveal the changes in pre-service teachers’ TPACK components. Content analysis was used to analyze the observation forms, self-evaluations, videos and interviews. The study’s findings indicate that pre-service teachers use GeoGebra tools to attain what they had specified in their instructional plans. When considered in terms of the TPACK components, pre-service teachers made noticeable progress.

Creative Education (CE) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2012.38B017
Abstract: This study investigated pre-service teachers’ self-efficacy in designing digital media and their technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPCK) for designing digital media using different forms of self- regulated learning instructional support for online project-based learning. The study used a 2x2 factorial research design. The sample consisted of 232 pre-service teachers from an institution situated in Bangkok, Thailand. The four different forms of self-regulated learning instructional support for online project-based learning were PB+SQ+PA, PB+SQonly, PB+PAonly, and PBonly. Two-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was used for data analysis. The results showed significant differences in pre-service teachers’ self-efficacy and TPCK posttest scores. No main effect was found between two different self-regulated learning strategies (SQ and PA) upon the means of self-efficacy in designing digital media scores and TPCK scores. The self-regulated learning strategies (SQ and PA) had a statistically significant interaction upon the means of self-efficacy in designing digital media scores while the self-regulated learning strategies (SQ and PA) had no interaction upon the means of the TPCK scores.
