Role of ATICS and OMICS for Business Oriented Developmental Programmes of Micropropagated PlantsKeywords: OLAP - On-line Analytical Processing , IT - Information technology , GI - Geographical informatics system , GM - Genetically modified , DNA- Deoxyribonucleic acid. Abstract: The paper describes the perspectives of new era of information and biological systems, referred to as atics and omic respectively, into the better utilization of micropropagated plants at large industrial scale. The term atics refers to the comprehensive analysis of ITsystems while omics refers to the comprehensive analysis of biological systems. The variety of sub-disciplines of atics viz., geoinformatics, chemoinformatics, bioinformatics and omics viz., genomics, proteomics, metbolomics have begun to emerge each with their own set of data analyzing programmes, software's, instruments, techniques etc., which not only have an impact on our understandings of chemical, biological and geographical processes, but the prospect of more accurately diagnosing the realty through virtual screening and without much effort to imply. The article is expected to help in projecting the interdisciplinary approaches of atics and omics into the micropropagation of plant diversity for industrial outbreak. Role of molecular mechanism involved in plant micropropagation through omic techniques, screening of novel characters in micropropgated plants through chemo- and bio- informatics and the establishing success through geoinformatical approaches are addressed with some recommendations. The areas in which jobs can be created are also dealt with here. It is expected that some of the perspectives discussed in this article will raise new questions and will become a basis for new discussions
