Autonomia do sujeito: as contribui？？es teóricas de G. H. Mead

this paper endeavours to discuss from the standpoint of the social interactionism of g. h. mead, the process of the constitution of "self", based on the meanings that are proposed by the social interaction among people. the author's reflection on human autonomy shows us elements that have implications for our society, since mead is concerned on processes of reflexive subject's formation. these processes, which are related to the subject's participation in social change movements in order to enlarge democracy and freedom, are based on a prosperous psychosocial theory.
