GEOMETRIDOS (LEPIDOPTERA) PRESENTES EN FORMACIONES VEGETALES DE LA RESERVA NACIONAL ISLA MOCHA (VIII REGION CHILE)

a checklist of geometridae found on isla mocha, collected between september and december 1998, is given. a total of nine sampling points were established in different areas of the island. geometridae fauna was collected using light trap method. a total of 141 adults, belonging to 12 species, were obtained. details of species and number of specimens found on each sampling point are reported. three undetermined species are reporting to be occurring on the island. the first report and geographical distribution is established for all the species collected on the island. the importance of the entomological knowledge, species found on the island and their possible relationships with the vegetation of the island are discussed. isla mocha is recorded as part of the geographical distribution of all the species found in this study
