Abstract:

Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a common and serious type of cardiovascular disease. Its early diagnosis and accurate prognosis evaluation are crucial to improving the outcome of patients. In recent years, C-reactive protein (CRP) and albumin (ALB) have been paid more and more attention as indicators of inflammation and nutritional status. Related studies have revealed the value of both in inflammation-related diseases. C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR) is a comprehensive index derived from these two, which can reflect the individual’s inflammatory state and systemic condition more comprehensively. The existing evidence shows that CAR shows certain potential value in the evaluation of ACS, including its application in the severity assessment and prognosis prediction of coronary artery disease. This article aims to briefly explore the importance of CRP, ALB and CAR in ACS, in order to provide new ideas for the development and prognosis evaluation of ACS patients.
