With the booming development of the digital economy, webcasting has become an important form of emerging entertainment and commerce, and the group of webcasters has expanded rapidly. However, problems such as the vague definition of labour relations and the lack of protection of rights and interests have surfaced. Especially in the context of the digital economy, the work mode, source of income and differences between webcasters and traditional employment relationships pose new challenges to their labour rights and interests. Therefore, an in-depth study of the current situation and challenges of the labour rights and interests of webcasters is of great significance in improving laws and regulations, strengthening legal protection and promoting the standard development of the industry. This study aims to reveal the new challenges of the digital economy to the labour rights and interests of webcasters and to propose targeted response strategies. By improving laws and regulations, strengthening industry self-regulation, raising the awareness of anchors’ rights and interests, and promoting skills training and career development, these measures not only help to protect the legal rights and interests of webcasters, but also promote the standardized development of the industry, which will provide a strong support for the sustainable development of the digital economy, and realize the harmonious coexistence of society, economy and culture.
