Abstract:

Problematic behaviors are increasingly recognized as a global issue affecting college students. While previous research has explored the influencing factors of problematic behaviors, few studies have examined these factors from an individual perspective. This study employed a questionnaire survey method to investigate the problematic behaviors and individual influencing factors of 2488 college students (1205 males, average age 18.17 years). A network model was constructed using network analysis to illustrate the relationships between problematic behaviors and individual influencing factors. The results revealed that individual factors such as self-control and perceived social support served as central nodes within the network of problematic behaviors. Specifically, self-control and perceived social support emerged as core individual influencing factors of problematic behaviors among college students, indicating that interventions targeting these core factors may be more effective than those addressing other influences.
