《政府工作报告》中“加强”英译研究
Study on the English Translation of “Strengthening” in Government Work Report

《政府工作报告》作为国际社会了解中国形势和政策主张最重要、最权威的来源，其翻译有着举足轻重的作用。其中，在介绍中国在不同领域的政策和成果时，“加强”多次出现，一词多用，凸显了不同层次的进步和发展。本文以2023年《政府工作报告》的英译材料为依托，利用语料库从搭配、范围、程度三个方面对高频词汇“加强”的英译进行统计研究，探讨其在英译中所使用的翻译策略。
As the most important and authoritative source for the international community to understand China’s situation and policies, the translation of Government Work Report plays an important role. Among them, when introducing China’s policies and achievements in different fields, the word “strengthening” appears many times, which highlights the progress and development at different levels. Based on the English translation materials of the 2023 Government Work Report, this paper uses a corpus to statistically study the English translation of the high-frequency word “strengthening” from three aspects: collocation, scope and degree, and discusses the translation strategies used in English translation.
