Abstract:

《中国手作》自2018年播出时起便从众多讲述中国传统文化的纪录片中脱颖而出。片中不同的镜头、背景音乐等非文字模态协同字幕讲述了以木为材的手工匠人们,用自己对工艺的孜孜追求唤醒传统工艺的复兴,讲述了木头本身对中国人思维方式的影响、塑造。本文以央视大型传统文化纪录片《中国手作》为研究对象,采用Pastra提出的The Cross-Media Interaction Relations (COSMOROE)框架,对片中图片模态和文字模态的关系进行了深入探讨。同时,从认知心理学的视角入手,通过分析人在感知过程中的感知觉、注意力和情绪等方面,对纪录片中声音模态与图片模态的关系以及纪录片声音的作用进行了研究。分析表明,COSMORE框架下的图文关系表现为等价性、互补性和独立性;而声音和画面两种模态的良好互动可对观众的知觉、注意和情绪产生正面影响。三种模态的协同合作促进了中国传统文化的对外传播,对提升中华文化的影响力起到了促进作用。
“Crafting China” has stood out from many documentaries narrating Chinese traditional culture since its broadcast in 2018. The film, through various shots, background music, and other non-verbal modes in harmony with subtitles, tells the story of craftsmen working with wood, who awaken the revival of traditional crafts with their persistent pursuit of artisanship. It discusses the influence of wood on the Chinese way of thinking and shaping. This paper takes the CCTV major traditional culture documentary “Crafting China” as the research subject and applies The Cross-Media Interaction Relations (COSMOROE) framework proposed by Pastra to conduct an in-depth discussion on the relationship between the pictorial and textual modes in the film. Moreover, from the perspective of cognitive psychology, by analyzing aspects such as perception, attention, and emotion in the human perception process, the paper conducts a detailed study on the relationship between the sound mode and the pictorial mode in the documentary, as well as the role of documentary sound. The analysis shows that under the COSMOROE framework, the relationship between graphics and text manifests as equivalence, complementarity, and independence; while the good interaction between sound and visuals can have a positive effect on the audience’s perception, attention, and emotion. The collaborative cooperation of the three modes promotes the external dissemination of Chinese traditional culture and plays a role in enhancing the influence of Chinese culture.
