英语幽默语的可译性研究——以《老友记》为例
A Study on the Translatability of English Humor—A Case Study of “Friends”

幽默翻译不仅是文字符号的转换，更是文化的交流与碰撞。幽默的产生虽然复杂，但大多以对话的形式出现，并且对语境具有强烈的依赖性。同时，不同文化之间既存在相似性又存在差异性。这些文化中的独特内容以及语境的具体性对译者翻译幽默造成了一定的阻碍。本文将以美国著名情景喜剧《老友记》中的幽默对白为例，探讨英语幽默语的可译性和具体翻译策略。通过分析与总结，归纳得出译者在充分了解幽默内涵的前提下，能够更好地选择合适的翻译策略对幽默进行翻译，并且使译文能够更好地保留原本的幽默情感。
Humor translation is not only a conversion between textual symbols, but also a process of cultural exchange and collision. Although the generation of humor is complicated, it mostly appears in the form of conversations and is strongly dependent on context. At the same time, there are similarities and differences between different cultures. The unique contents of these cultures and the specificity of the context cause some obstacles to translating humor. This paper will take humorous dialogues from the famous American sitcom “Friends” as examples to explore the translatability and specific translation strategies of English humorous expressions. Through analyzing and summarizing, it is concluded that on the premise of fully understanding the connotation of humor, translators can better choose appropriate translation strategies to translate humor, and make the translation better retain the original humorous feelings.
