Abstract:

本文在多模态批评话语分析视角下,对中国和英国儿童死亡教育绘本进行对比分析。语料以费氏三维分析模型为理论框架,选择Death in a Nut和《奶奶的护身符》为代表文本。研究发现,在文本向度上,中英绘本在文字和图像中有明显异同;在话语实践向度上,中英绘本存在高低文化语境差异,采取不同的叙事和表达方式;在社会实践向度上,中英绘本存在权力距离与社会价值观的差异。最后,研究从互文性、隐喻、绘图方式、叙事方式、价值观方面提出了原创死亡教育绘本创作的提升策略,为未来的儿童死亡教育绘本创作和儿童死亡教育实践提供了有益参考。
From the perspective of multimodal critical discourse analysis, a comparative analysis of children’s death education picture books in China and the UK is conducted. Drawing on Fairclough’s 3-Dimensional Model, Death in a Nut and Grandmas Amulet are selected as representative texts. The study reveals notable similarities and differences between Chinese and English picture books in terms of textual and visual dimensions. In terms of discursive practices, differences in cultural contexts are evident, leading to varying narrative and expressive styles. Additionally, differences in power distance and social values are observed in the social practice dimension between Chinese and English picture books. Finally, the study proposes enhancement strategies for the creation of original death education picture books, focusing on intertextuality, metaphor, illustration style, narrative approach, and values. This paper endeavors to provide valuable insights for future research in children’s death education picture book creation and practical applications.
