框架视野下主流英语媒体奥运报道对比研究——以“东京奥运会”和“北京冬奥会”为例

Abstract:
本文随机抽样选取《中国日报》《中国环球电视网》《纽约时报》《卫报》四家中外主流英语媒体对于“东京奥运会”与“北京冬奥会”的相关报道,以框架理论为指导,通过建立语料库等方式,使用内容分析法和对比法,横纵向地对报道进行高频词、索引行、搭配词以及词簇对比分析,从报道角度、报道内容、情感基调等方面解读框架如何对大众舆论产生影响,并探求解决之道,讲好中国故事。
This paper randomly selected four mainstream English media outlets, namely China Daily, China Global Television Network, The New York Times, and The Guardian, to analyze their coverage of the “Tokyo Olympics” and the “Beijing Winter Olympics”. Guided by the Framing Theory, this study established a corpus through various means and employed content analysis and comparative methods to conduct a frequency word analysis, index line analysis, collocation analysis, and cluster word comparison analysis of the reporting, horizontally and vertically. This study aimed to interpret how the framework affects public opinion from the perspective of the angle of reporting, the content of the report, and the emotional tone and to explore solutions to tell the story of China effectively.
