朱光潜提出的两大诗学问题隐含着一种认知型的文化辨析主义，这种文化立场由历史意识与演化观、文化的可分性与逻辑解析、多元化视野与坚持民族个性三个维度构成。它一定程度上沿袭了传统尊重历史、变常统一的观念和魏晋的自由精神，又对传统缺乏逻辑解析的思维方式有否定与弥补。
