《每日科学》中生物多样性报道的生态话语分析

Abstract:
文章基于Martin等人提出的评价理论，以美国《每日科学》发布的题为“在沿海地区看到更多的物种，可以提高人们的幸福感：生物多样性的另一个好处(Seeing more species at the coast improves wellbeing: Yet another benefit of biodiversity)为语料，探究评价系统的生态意义。研究表明，所选新闻语料涉及态度、介入、级差三种评价资源，其中介入资源使用频率最高，其次是态度和级差资源。不同评价资源通过不同的方式协同生态主体的生态观念，发挥了语言对社会活动的干预作用。
To explore the ecological significance of appraisal system, the author adopts appraisal theory and takes the news “Seeing more species at the coast improves wellbeing: Yet another benefit of biodiversity” published in Science Daily as corpus. The study shows that the selected corpus involves three types of appraisal resources: attitude, engagement, and gradation. Engagement is the most frequently used resource compared with two others. Different appraisal resources convey people ecological conceptions through different approaches, which shows language an intervention role in social activities.
