打破藩篱：影视作品字幕翻译的归化与异化策略研究——以《了不起的盖茨比》为例
Breaking the Constraints: The Application of Domestication and Foreignization Strategy in the Subtitling of Audio-Visual Works—Taking The Great Gatsby as an Example

字幕翻译逐渐受到翻译研究的关注与重视，同时韦努蒂提出的归化策略对于字幕翻译有一定的指导价值和意义。一部美国大片在中国取得较高票房自然离不开优质、受观众欢迎的字幕翻译。本文以2013版《了不起的盖茨比》电影为例，探究电影字幕翻译的有效策略，如何成功打破时空“藩篱”，并以大量精彩片段及实例说明在归化策略指导下，四字格增添可读性、简化译法以及适时转换等具体翻译方法的应用。同时，归化策略还能达到增添字幕的文学性和使其符合中国观众口味等效果。异化策略的适度应用也能带来思想碰撞，增加异域文化的独特魅力。
In recent years, subtitling has gradually attracted the attention of translation studies and Domestication strategy advocated by Venuti has some guidance and value if applied in subtitling. A relatively high box office of an American blockbuster in China cannot be achieved without a qualified subtitling, which would be well received by the audience. This paper takes the subtitling of The Great Gatsby (2013) as an example to further discuss and explore translation strategies used in subtitling translation, and uses a lot of highlights and detailed examples to demonstrate the specific application of translation techniques or ways, such as the readability increased by the use of four-character Chinese idioms, implicitness translation and proper shifts under the guidance of domestication. Thus, literariness of subtitling and popularity among Chinese audiences would also be gained and added by adopting domestication strategy. On the other hand, appropriate application of foreignization strategy can also bring collision of ideas and increase unique charm of the foreign culture.
