Abstract:

网络汉语新词是新时期中国文化的重要组成部分。准确、合理的流行词翻译是输出中国文化的重要手段之一。随着互联网的发展和社会的进步,新词不断涌现,新的网络词汇在人际交往中被广泛使用。然而,在全球化和文化融合的背景下,充分消化和理解这些网络术语所承载的文化信息,并进行恰当的翻译,使目的语使用者能够理解和正确使用这些网络术语,具有重要的现实意义。以过去五年的新词(2017~2021)为例,本文从新词的主要特点及其英译方式研究如何规范网络新词的翻译,为今后网络新词的翻译提供一定的借鉴意义。
Network Chinese neologisms are an important part of Chinese culture in the new era. Accurate and reasonable translation of popular words is one of the important means of exporting Chinese culture. With the development of the Internet and the progress of society, new words keep emerging, and new network words are widely used in interpersonal communication. However, in the context of globalization and cultural integration, it is of great practical significance to fully digest and understand the cultural information carried by these network terms and properly translate them so that target language users can understand and correctly use these network terms. Taking the neologisms of the past five years (2017~2021) as an example, this paper studies how to standardize the translation of network neologisms from the main features of neologisms and their English translation methods, so as to provide some reference for the translation of network neologisms in the future.
