Abstract:

At present, since the bad consequences of children’s problematic behaviors, such as suicide, are frequently exposed on social networking sites, we should pay attention to how to cultivate child-ren’s good social behaviors. Children’s social behaviors can be divided into problem behavior and prosocial behavior, and can be further subdivided into depression, anxiety, aggressive behavior, addictive behavior, helping behavior, sharing behavior and comfort behavior, etc. A large number of studies have found that the quality of children’s peer attachment has a significant impact on children’s social behavior, among which peer attachment refers to the emotional connection formed by individuals in long-term communication with their peers. Although a large amount of literature has examined the relationship between children’s peer attachment and children’s social behavior, no researchers have systematically reviewed the findings so far. Therefore, based on attachment theory, this paper explored the influence of peer attachment on children’s social behavior and its internal mechanism. Future research can further study the relationship between peer attachment and specific dimensions of children’s social behavior, discover the influence mechanism between peer attachment and social behavior from multiple perspectives, and put forward measures to prevent and intervene in children’s problem behavior, so as to promote children’s prosocial behavior.
