基于词汇层面的英汉语言动静态研究——以中国日报网双语新闻为例

Abstract:
作为外宣的窗口，新闻有其特定的撰写规范，双语新闻更是要切合目标语受众的语言特点。本文以中国日报网的双语新闻为例，基于词汇层面，对新闻文本中语言的动静态进行研究，旨在为新闻编译者提供英汉语言动静态特点，提高双语新闻质量。研究发现，英语表述由于名词化、介词、副词和形容词的频繁使用，多呈现为静态性；而汉语则倾向于动态化，通常出现多类动词连续使用的现象。
As a window of publicity, news has its own specific writing standards. Moreover, bilingual news should also obey the language characteristics of the target readers. Taking the bilingual news on China Daily website as an example, this paper studies the dynamic and static features of the lan-guage in the news based on the lexical level, aiming to provide the dynamic and static features of the English and Chinese language for news compilers and improve the quality of bilingual news. It has been found that, English expressions tend to be static due to the frequent use of nominalization, prepositions, adverbs and adjectives; while Chinese expressions tend to be dynamic, which is usually showed in the continuous use of multiple types of verbs.
