布迪厄“场域”理论视域下的兰州市公示语英译研究

Abstract:

借助布迪厄社会学理论下的“场域”这一概念，本文从社会学视角探讨了兰州公示语的信息性功能和限制性功能及其在不同场域中的比重，分析了兰州市各类型公示语汉英翻译中存在的不同错误类型，提出公示语英译应当遵循的原则和采取的策略与建议，以期对兰州市公示语的规范翻译有所帮助，充实目前的翻译社会学中公示语英译的研究体系。
This paper refers to the concept “field” in Bourdieu’s sociology theory, discussing two functions of information and limitation of public signs in Lanzhou City, drawing the proportion of these two functions in different fields, analyzing different types of wrong translations from Chinese to English, and proposing some strategies and suggestions according to the translation principles. In addition, this paper aims to assist the development and standardization of public signs in Lanzhou city to enrich the present Chinese-English translation system of public signs in transla-tion sociology.
