Abstract:

Theresultssofarobtainedmaybesummarizedasfollows.TheHongshanintrusionisadome-shapedandisolatedbodyanddeep-seatednorigin.Theiatrusiontookplaceinthepost-CarboniferoustimeTheirondepositwasprobablyformedthroughmetasomatiereplacementoftheOrdovieianlimestoneandthereforeonlyextendsdownwardforaninsignifieuntdepth.Asarogoureoformodernindustry,itisabsohtelyvaluess.Thevariationinthecompositionofthedioriteisprobablydonnotsomuchtomagmaticdifferentiationbutrathertotheassimilationfotheoverlyingrocks.
