Data Mining Algorithms for personalizing user’s profiles on Web

Personalization can be useful in storing downloaded files appropriately. The identification of user's preferences can be used to add more intelligence to download managers. The download managers can decide the target directory of a file being downloaded or which has just been downloaded, on the basis of a user's preference for a location based on the type, origin, metadata and content of that file. This can save a lot of effort on the user's part in browsing various directories to save a file.
