A Significant Approach to Detect Heart Rate in ECG Signal

Cardiovascular diseases like arrhythmia, bradycardia, tachycardia are associated with Heart Rate and in the modern industrialized countries, every year several hundred thousands of people die due to the sudden cardiac death having such problems. Another risk associated cardiac disease is Ischemia which caused by reduced blood supply to the heart muscle. Our proposed methods involves the Pre-processing work (i.e. Baseline drift and noise cancellation) performed by Moving Average Algorithm (MAA) and Wavelet Transform (DWT).Frequency domain approach (FFT) and a Beat Rate Extraction implemented for the Heart Rate detection. Our method also shows significant results in different disease conditions related with ECG signals
