Prototype d’un dictionnaire électronique de reformulation pour apprenants avancés de fran ais langue seconde Prototype of an electronic dictionary for advanced learners of French as a second language

Cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche qui a mené à l’élaboration d’un prototype de dictionnaire électronique d’un type particulier, appelé dictionnaire de reformulation, dont le but est d’aider les apprenants avancés de fran ais à surmonter des difficultés que présente une utilisation précise, souple et idiomatique du lexique dans la production langagière en langue seconde. Il se distingue d’autres projets de dictionnaires d’apprentissage notamment par son exploitation didactique de la paraphrase linguistique. Son orientation se veut ergonomique en ce qu’elle est centrée sur des besoins identifiés d’apprenants par rapport à des taches spécifiques d’apprentissage, en particulier des taches d’encodage du texte. Le prototype comporte à ce jour une base de données lexicales d’environ 1000 lexies ainsi qu’une interface fonctionnelle, accessible en ligne. This article presents the results of a study that has led to the development of an electronic dictionary prototype of a particular type, called reformulation dictionary, aiming to help advanced learners of French to overcome some difficulties that are related to an accurate, flexible and idiomatic use of the lexicon in their L2 output. It stands out from other learner dictionaries projects namely because of its didactic exploitation of linguistic paraphrase. Its orientation is ergonomic in that it is centered on identified learner needs for specific learning tasks, text encoding in particular. To date, the prototype has a lexical database of around 1000 lexical items and a functional interface, accessible on-line.
