It represents 1-2% of all abdominal wall hernias. The clinical symptoms are non-specific, commonly it’s abdominal pain. It usually affects small bowel segments and omentum. This hernia is difficult to diagnose clinically. It is necessary to perform ultrasound and at times computed tomography of the abdominal cavity. The Spigelian hernia has been repaired by both conventional and laparoscopic approach. Hernia recurrences are very rare.
