EVOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATIONS OF POLICIES FOR TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT SECONDARY SCHOOL STAGE.

Based on an analysis of various recommendations on teacher educationprograms by policies, this paper draws together a set of concerns and issues related toteacher education at secondary stage, arguing that improving teacher educationprograms in evolving Indian society is the need of hour. Then, this analysis is used toappraise the dimensions of secondary schooling stage of teacher education in India. Thispaper concludes with thoughts on some promising directions for the teacher educationprograms at secondary school stage.
