Our experience in the treatment of acute deafness

The article deals with the results of treatment of 40 patients with acute deafness of unknown aetyology. Better results were obtained in patients with small degree of loss of hearing without vestibular symptomatology and in patients in whom therapy was started earlier. We suggest the early confirmation of diagnosis and urgent use of infusion therapy which improves the perfusion of the inner ear.
