DECISION MAKING SUPPORT MODEL AND ITS APPLICATION ON SUSTAINABLE UTILIZATION OF TIMBER FOREST OF STATE FARM

Guided by the theory of sustainable development,this paper advances an approach toward sustainable use of forest resources on a state forest farm.The sustainable landscape heterogeneity and integrated function and diversity of forest ecosystem can be maintained by multi forest types,multi species and multi forest communities.These can be based on integrated management and silviculture regime and for the realization of local sustainable development of forest resources.Based on the strategy,an assisstent decision making model was built for the regulation of forest resource structure containing multi species and multi site classes.Besides management of existing forest,an integrated planation programme was formulated.As an example,management of forest land of class I on Sandaochuan Forest Farm was programmed to illustrate the implication of the model.
