Development direction and ponders of the Continental dynamics in China

Abstract:
Continental dynamics is a borderline subject in the study for the exploration of large-scale motion of deep materials and understanding of the earth that involve the different spheres and layer coupling, physical and mechanical mechanisms of differentiation and regulations in deep structures and attributes, exchange of material and energy in deep dynamic processes. Geodynamics has integrated research results of current high and new technology fields and cross-disciplines, and involves the discoveries of the basic mechanisms of mountains, basins, minerals and natural disasters. It plays an important role in the study of the earth science. Five important basic scientific subjects are as follows: 1. The role and function of geodynamics in the earth science. 2. The research progress and development trend of geodynamics in the world. 3. The research status of Chinese geodynamics. 4. The research orientation and strategic thoughts of current geodynamics. 5. The implementation and exploitation of geodynamics in China.
