RESEARCH ON SUSTAINABLE LAND USE SYSTEM IN THE LOESS PLATEAU REGION
黄土高原持续土地利用研究

This paper, based on the analyses of the historical experience and existing problems in the comprehensive management of the Loess Plateau region, puts forward the suggestions of applying sustainable land use theory as a guiding principle for the future comprehensive management and development of the Loess Plateau and scientific unification of rational utilization of land resources and soil and water conservation. It discusses the theoretical method and technical ideas concerning sustainable land use in the hilly-gully regions of the Loess Plateau by taking Quanjiagou watershed in Mizhi County of Shanxi Province as a case.
