Development of a Coupled Regional Column Model and Its Simulations in Semi-arid Areas

On the basis of Regional Integrated Environment Model System(RIEMS), a regional column model was developed. It includes detailed physical processes, and can be used as a tool to study land-atmosphere interactions in semi-arid areas. The land surface models BATS and CoLM were evaluated in offline mode and coupled mode by coupling with the regional column model.
