Ecological Construction and Evergreen Grassland Stockbreeding Development in Yunnan Province

In this paper, status of stockbreeding development in Yunnan province is analyzed and the idea of developing "evergreen grassland stockbreeding" is put forward, that is, enhancing ecological construction, developing green and nuisance free livestock product, facilitating sustainable development of grassland stockbreeding according to variously natural environment and advantaged climate condition. Considering spatial pattern of stockbreeding industrialization in Yunnan province, six stockbreeding industrial belts are divided as: 1) the northeast industrial belt on plateau mountain in warm temperate zone and temperate zone; 2) the central industrial belt in warm temperate zone and subtropical zone; 3) the northwest mountain industrial belt in temperate zone and cool temperate zone; 4) the southeast industrial belt in subtropical zone and tropical zone; 5) the south industrial belt in subtropical zone and tropical zone; 6) the southwest industrial belt in warm temperate zone, subtropical zone and tropical zone. In different industry belts, some production and machining zones with the key enterprises and famous products are designed as core. Eight key projects are brought forward for constructing evergreen grassland stockbreeding, they are: 1) leadoff enterprise and famous trademark cultivation project; 2) breed of forage grass, fine breed of livestock and poultry project; 3) grassland construction and forage planting project; 4) raw product base construction project; 5) prevention and cure of animal epidemic disease and service project; 6) livestock product security project; 7) science and technology, talent cultivation project; 8) network information project. Furthermore, some countermeasures and proposes are put forward, which involves how to make Yunnan province as national base of evergreen grassland stockbreeding, and protect and construct environment at the same time, including consummating criterion and monitoring system for land security and ecological security, optimizing agricultural land use structure, actualizing utilization and management of grassland and forage resource.
