This paper discusses mainly the principal of Grey Theory and the method of relational grade analyses, Grey clustering, Grey prediction and Grey modeling. And then, by reviewing the development processing and the research actuality, describing the new progress of the theory applied in the seismic data interpretation, geological evaluation and well logging interpretation, it brings forward the development direction of Grey theory. With the development of the oll field exploration, Grey theory will be used widely, and its role in the oil field exploration will be important.
