The application of International Geomagnetic Reference Field to the basic researches

The data of IGRF (International Geomagnetic Reference Field) are widely used in the geomagnetic basic investigations. By using the IGRF data, the geomagnetic researchers have investigated the Gauss Analysis, the model of the geomagnetic field, the possible position of its sources, the correlations between the geomagnetic and the gravitational fields, the core-mantle electromagnetic coupling, the energy of the geomagnetic field, and the westward drifting of the geomagnetic non-dipole field and the secular variation field. Also investigate the IGRF errors in the china continent and their reasons. Some IGRF data are used in drawing up the China GRF.
