Luminescence and aggregate state of rhodamine 6G in photonic crystal

Abstract:
A colloidal photonic crystal(CPX) was prepared by capillary force deposition for an intended photonic band gap.Laser dye rhodamine 6G(R6G) was embedded into the prepared CPX by a dipping method.Experimental results demonstrate that the photonic band gap influences the emission spectra of R6G.Increasing the content of R6G leads to an increase in both the lumi-nescence intensity and the average refractive index of the interspace,and the latter will cause a systematic red shift of the photonic band gap.The emi...
