FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM WITH DISCONTINUOUS COEFFICIENT

Abstract:
In the first part of this paper we study the singularity of the solution insome interface problem. In the second part, we design a net shape of the finite element arounda singular point of the solution. By means of this net, the convergence rate of the approximatesolution is proved to be the same as approximate solution without singularity.
