Synthesis and ion-binding studies of platinum(II) phenanthroline complexes containing crown ether moiety

Two new benzo-15]-crown-5 attached phenanthroline platinum(II) complexes with the general formula Pt(phen)X2, where X = Cl (1), C≡CC6H5 (2) have been synthesized, and their absorption and luminescence response towards metal ions have been studied.
