Performance analysis of energy efficiency of relay cooperation in wireless body area network
|
Abstract:
In this paper, we investigate the energy efficiency of relay cooperation in Wireless Body Area Network(WBAN). The performances in terms of minimum power consumption with the constraint of targeted outage probability are analyzed and compared among three typical WBAN transmission schemes, i.e., direct transmission, single relay cooperation and multi-relay cooperation. Further, we analyze several parameters impacting on the system energy efficiency performance including the receiving and processing power consumption, the required quality-of-service, the relay location, in order to realize the tradeoff between the traffic needs of different WBAN users and the perfect transmission schemes.
