The resource allocation determines the performance of whole wireless system.This paper discusses the peculiari-ties of wireless scheduling that distinguish it from conventional wire-line scheduling.and presents an overview of the re-source allocation and packet transmission scheduling under wireless networks,including wireless LAN,TDMA.based cellu-1ar networks.and CDMA-based cellular networks.This overview iS significant for research and design in wireless networks.
