XPS study on PZT cathodes
|
Abstract:
The XPS microanalysis on PZT cathodes was made, and their performance parameters before and after electron emission were compared. Based on the theory that the polarization switch causes electron emission, from the emitted electron energy, the decreasing of dielectric parameter and the XPS analysis, this paper proposes that Pb is abundant on the surface and this contributes to a thicker dielectric layer. And it explains the phenomenon of decrea sing of starting threshold after times of electron emission. A novel nonstoichiometrical cathode with lower starting threshold of emission is developed based on the above theory analysis and experimental results.
