The Application of BP Neural Networks in Image Segmentation

Image segmentation is one of the most important research fields of image process and computer vision,and it is also one of basic works in image recognition and image analysis.Success or not of image segmentation will affect the success of character abstract of image and image recognition.As the BP Neural networks can theoretically map any non-linear relation,and it possesses some good properties such as self-learning,self-adapting and stronger robustness.It has been widely used in pattern recognition,pattern classifying and fuzzy controlling.In this paper,the writer applies the BP neural networks to segment theseal image and vehicle license plate,and achieved good image segment effect.
