Research of Collision Detection between Objects in VRML

Abstract:
Collision detection is of paramount importance for many applications in virtual manufacturing.However,limited support for collision detection has been provided by VRML.To stretch the capabilities of VRML,a novel system of collision detection is presented.K-DOP,an efficient algorithm of collision detection has been introduced in this system.The method of Sweep and Prune is used to deal with collision detection between multiple objects.
