EQUIVALENCE PRINCIPLE BETWEEN NORMALIZED EULER INDICES AND DIAMETER OF METAL GRAIN
Abstract: From experimental or theoretical aspect, three Euler indices of a polyhedral grain are equal statistically to the mean caliper diameter of the same grain, when all the values of the foresaid parameters being normalized respectively by their average in the space filling polycrystal to which the grain belongs. It seems that the above principle is independent of the type of the metal concerned, provide that the structures are configured in a way that is consistent with the underlying assumption in the derivation of the principle.
