Treatment of corn alcohol wastewater using hydrolysis acidification-improved UASB
|
Abstract:
Hydrolysis acidification-improved UASB process was adopted to treat corn alcohol wastewater. The results showed that the removal rates of COD and SS reached 50% and 51%, respectively after the hydrolysis acidification process, when the improved UASB reactor was successfully launched after 60 d operation and the COD, TN, TP and SS concentratinons of the influent water were 5 470~7 910 mg/L, 70~107 mg/L, 115~187 mg/L and 864~1 490 mg/L, respectively; however, NH3-N concentration increased after hydrolysis acidification. Under the same experimental conditions, the removal rate of COD was up to 80% after improved UASB process, NH3-N, TN and TP were also removed partly, and the corresponding removal rates were 12%, 17% and 20%, respectively. Hydrolysis acidification-improved UASB process was beneficial to the subsequent aerobic treatment.
