Coagulant and processing conditions of ceramic printing wastewater treatment
|
Abstract:
Ceramic printing wastewater was treated with the method of coagulation and sedimentation by the coagulants of PAC, PAM, PFS. The treatment effects of coagulants were evaluated by decolorization removal rate, turbidity removal rate, suspended solid removal rate by being monitored absorbency, turbidity, suspended matter of water. The results show that PAC is an ideal coagulant for the ceramic printing wastewater treatment. The treatment effect of ceramic printing wastewater was studied with the different coagulant dosages and settlement times. The experiments show that water absorbency, turbidity, suspended solids decreased with the increase of coagulant dosages and the extendion of settling time, and that decolorization, turbidity removal rate and suspended substance removal rate increased with the increase of PAC dosages and the extendion of settlement time. Under the conditions of PAC dosage of 20 mg/L, and the settling time of 24 h, the water decolorization reaches 90.0%. Under the conditions of the PAC dosage of 100 mg/L, the settling time of 4 h, ceramic printing wastewater decolorization can reach 96.0%. These prove that the increase of reagent amount and the extend of settling time has synergies to the coagulation process.
